what's the domino effect you imagine your work having in the world? i've been thinking recently about how i see my current [[community otaku]] endeavours fitting in to a broader picture of systems & societal change. this diagram is a rough attempt at that, heavily inspired by [this viral meme](https://www.visakanv.com/blog/dominoes/visakanv-dominos/) from visakan veerasamy. ![[1738676934335.jpeg]] tbf, this is more imagination and speculation than a concrete roadmap. there are endless other permutations for how community work (or any other work) could create ripples at the meso & macro levels, and it's probably not worth obsessing over exactly what a "shift in global consciousness around how we relate to each other" looks like. but this is my inner optimist's dream for how building wholesome community and creating [[small islands of coherence]] could ripple out into broader scenes and meta-scenes. it makes me excited (and motivated) to think about!
