Find the others…**” ― Timothy Leary we all have *others* who we're searching for. kinship bonds with people with whom we share an intellectual/intuitive/creative wavelength; strangers that are waiting to become our closest friends and allies. how do we find them? i love [Visakan Veerasamy's takes on this](https://x.com/visakanv/status/1153706486586994688). as scary as it might be, we have to put ourselves out there in some capacity. we have to broadcast our authentic, obsessive, and niche interests out into the open, to be a beacon. we have to create "minimum viable scenes" -- small, loosely-aligned groups of passionate people (no matter how niche), ideally producing some kind of public work, to challenge and inspire one another. i'm looking to connect with friendly, ambitious, creative people who are interested in supporting each other in deeper, more community-driven ways. note: i think of ambitious in the way it's framed in [Visa's book](https://visakanv.gumroad.com/l/FANbook): *AMBITION is about daring to dream bigger. It's about realizing that you can live a much "larger" life. Ambition is often framed as the desire for power and prestige. I prefer to frame it as something more intimate. Ambition to me is about wanting to do more, be more, see more, learn more, know more. It's about recognizing that your own imagination is a bottleneck that limits the amount of good you can create in the world.
